Learn from the winners – examples for the implementation of photo titles at the Münster Fotomarathon

At a photomarathon, the participants have to complete photographic tasks. This is also the case for this year’s Münster Fotomarathon, or FMMS2021 for short.

The tasks are set in the form of photo titles, linked to an overriding theme, and must be photographically realised on the day of the marathon, 25 September 2021, in the specified order and time.

Using examples from previous years, we would like to show you in this article how the participants of that time solved their task. By the way, all examples come from the top finishers of the respective year.

Light at the end of the tunnel | Licht am Ende des Tunnels (2018)

At the first Münster Fotomarathon, on 29 September 2018, the main theme was “Where there is light, there is also shadow”. One photo title was called “Light at the end of the tunnel“. Here are a few examples of how this photo title was implemented at the time:

No way back | Kein Weg zurück (2019)

Under the main theme “Münster criminal”, the following year, on 28 September 2019, a photo title was “No way back” and was implemented like this, for example:

Mirror, Mirror | Spieglein, Spieglein (2019)

Another photo title from 2019 was called “Mirror, Mirror” and was realized by the top placers as follows:

The dark spot | Der dunkle Fleck (2019)

And finally, a few examples of the photographic realization of the photo title “The dark spot” by the participants of the Münster Fotomarathon in September 2019.

Note: In the competitions in 2018 and 2019, the participants of the Münster Fotomarathon had to photographically implement 12 photo titles each. Due to Corona, we have reduced the task for the so-called “Online Half Marathon” to 6 photo titles last year and this year.
