As in the last 4 years, also in 2022 the Münster Fotomarathon is planned for the last Saturday in September – so for the 24.09.2022.
After two years, in which we have carried out the Münsteraner Fotomarathon only online due to Corona, we will organize the event again as a presence event. Should the official requirements and hygiene regulations speak against the planned realization of the Fotomarathon at the end of September, we will inform you shortly.
25.09.2021 – 20:00 – Thank you for your participation
Dear participants, it’s 8:00 p.m. and so the 4th Münster Fotomarathon is officially over.
We, the organizing team, once again had a lot of fun with you. Thank you very much for your participation and your positive feedback to this second – Corona-conditioned – online half marathon.
After the Fotomarathon is before the Fotomarathon
We keep our fingers crossed for us and for you that the next Fotomarathon 2022, which is scheduled to start again on the last Saturday in September, i.e. on 24.09.2022 – will then take place again locally in Münster and that we can meet in person.
The Orgateam of Fotofreunde Münsterland e.V. Izabella, Monika, Nicole, Ulrike, Eckhard, Markus, Michael K., Michael N., Ralf, Swen, Tommy and Stephan
PS: What happens now? The jurors (Andreas Abb, Roland Artur Berg, Dietmar Rabich and Klaus Reinders) will meet on November 4 to select the best photo series, which we will announce on our homepage on November 14, 2021 and also present the pictures online.
Welcome to the 4th Münster Fotomarathon – glad that you are part of it!
With the publication of the main theme and the 6 photo titles, which are to be implemented today within 6 hours photographically and as creatively as possible, the #FMMS2021 was started today punctually at 10:00.
As in 2020, this year’s event – due to Corona – will take place entirely online. That is, from the issuance of the themes to the final upload of the finished photo series, everything will be done online again this year.
Themes and photo titles
The main theme and the 6 photo titles can be found via the following link:
On Monday, September 20, 2021 the ticket sale for the #FMMS2021, which will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2021, ends. The Fotomarathon will again be held online as a photo half marathon, just like last year.
6 topics | 6 photos | 6 hours
A photo marathon is about creating a photo series on given topics within a certain time. The photo series will be judged by an independent jury and awarded with attractive prizes. The photo marathon will be held online as a photo half marathon, just like last year.
Get your starting place now (alone or as a group) and face the photographic challenge to win attractive prizes!
A photo marathon is always about creating a photo series on given topics within a certain time. The resulting photo series are then reviewed by an independent jury and awarded attractive prizes.
This idea of a photo competition has already been implemented in many German cities such as Berlin, Hamburg or Münster.
In this post we give you an overview of the subject of image composition.
Most of us have already asked ourselves what makes a good picture. One possible answer is: Let your picture tell a story. Sensational photos offer content, criticize or pull the viewer out of his environment. His gaze is drawn into the picture.
So that your photos have a good chance of winning, all individual photos should result in a coherent series. We have put together some tips for this:
The picture format: Always uses the same picture format. Decide for portrait or landscape format. In addition, the aspect ratio should always be the same.
After waiting eagerly for the issue of the topic sheet and then finally holding it in your hand, the big awakening often comes: No idea how to implement such a topic. The more you think about it, your head becomes emptier. And now others are already starting to take pictures. From one corner you can hear someone shouting: “I already have the first photo.”
So that you can face this situation calmly, here are a few tips:
Remain calm and serene. You have time. Even if others are already taking pictures, that doesn’t mean they already have the perfect idea. First, order a coffee and make a plan.
Today the Olympic Games and from August 24 the Paralympic Games start in Tokyo. Due to Corona, no spectators are allowed this year. For the athletes, however, the motto is: BEING THERE IS EVERYTHING!
The Olympic idea also carries the Fotomarathon Münster
In a little more than 60 days, on September 25, 2021, the 4th Münster Fotomarathon will also start. Even if our event does not (yet) attract quite as much media attention, for the international participants of the FMMS2021 there is also “Taking part is more important than winning.” as Pierre de Coubertin once put it.
